This is a privately operated reference site, not a Randall County government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or retrieve an official booking record. For those matters, contact the government office that holds the record directly.
Randall County Records Contacts
For current Randall County Jail custody questions, records direction, or a booking-related record, start with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office. The jail and the records line have different functions, so identify whether the request concerns current custody, bond status, or an existing record.

9100 S. Georgia St.
Amarillo, TX 79118

Jail: (806) 468-5752
For a county public-information request, use the Randall County Public Information Act request page and its linked request form. The county lists Publicinfo@randallcounty.gov and the following mailing address:
Randall County Public Information Act
2309 Russell Long Blvd., Suite 120
Canyon, TX 79015
Ask for an existing record by name, date, booking or cause number, and arresting agency when known. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public-information requests. The county does not publish a booking-photo-specific fee or a guaranteed response time, so request any fee estimate and the cited exception if access is denied.
Choose the Office That Holds It
Record ownership can change with the arresting agency, booking location, and case stage. The official routes below help separate a current jail entry from a city report, a court case, or a state or federal custody result.
- Current Randall County custody: use the live RCSO Inmate Search. It is a current-custody view, not a complete historical archive.
- Court outcome after booking: search the Randall County Tyler court portal. A booking charge is an accusation and may not match the later disposition.
- Amarillo Police record: APD’s Open Records page describes its written request process. Amarillo arrests may involve Randall or Potter County facilities, so ask APD to identify the custodian when the destination is uncertain.
- Canyon Police record: use the city’s Public Information Requests page or its recommended request portal. Canyon directs records outside city limits to Randall County Records.
- State prison custody: use the official TDCJ offender search for Texas Department of Criminal Justice custody. It is not the ordinary Randall County pretrial roster.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the BOP inmate locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither replaces a county booking record.
